Veneers and Lumineers

Veneers and Lumineers

Veneers and Lumineers offer patients who want to improve the appearance of their smiles an alternative to dental crowns and metal braces. Veneers andLumineers are thin sheaths of high-quality porcelain that our doctors permanently bond to the front teeth. With veneers and Lumineers, we can erase years of damage and neglect in just two visits to our office

Are veneers right for me?
Veneers and Lumineers are perfect for patients with chipped, cracked, stained, misaligned, or otherwise imperfect teeth. Veneers and Lumineers allow us to alter the size, shape, and color of the teeth to create a perfectly even and brilliantly white smile. Virtually anyone who is unhappy with his or her smile is a candidate for veneers.

What’s the difference between veneers and Lumineers?
Lumineers are a brand of low-prep veneers. Typically, when veneers are placed, a small amount of tooth enamel is removed to ensure an even fit. Lumineers are made from contact-lens thin porcelain, so they can be secured directly to the teeth, with minimal preparation. People who'd like the option of returning to their original smile in the future may consider Lumineers. Others prefer veneers because of their totally custom design.

How do I care for my veneers?
You can brush and floss veneers as you would with natural teeth. To avoid damaging your veneers, we recommend that you refrain from eating hard foods, chewing on ice, and biting your fingernails. You should also visit us at least twice a year for checkups and hygiene visits.

If you're unhappy with your smile, call our dental office to discuss the benefits of veneers and Lumineers.
